New Kev Adams Goblins by OSM

Hey all, so OldSchool Miniatures are running a new Kickstarter for goblins sculpted by the goblinmaster himself, Kev Adams and they've kindly asked me to paint a few before the end.

Dark Goblins by Maraud Miniatures

Hey all, I'm quite chuffed to show you these now. A while ago, I was visiting my FLGS like usual when one of the owners took me aside and said he had stuff I might want to see. Now this is the kind of encounter I was taught to avoid but in a hobby store, all rules stay out at the door.

It turns out he was sculpting a new range of fantasy miniatures inspired and flavoured with all the nice references we love.
The models were built on concept art by  my mate Adrien AKA Jean Peinture (follow both his Instagram and amazing blog)

and sculpted by  the most excellent Alexandre Vallet, 2 hobby friends I have a huge fondness and respect for on top of being lovable human beings.

Great Orc mercenary - Happy Orctober !

Alright it's been half the month already and I'm only having an entry for orctober done now !

To be honest, after being very orc neutral for years I tend to jump on any occasion to paint some now and after being offered this fine fella by Jamies from Old school miniatures I knew he had to join my band of mercenaries, just look at the swag of him !

Ghazghkull Thraka and Makari

There are very few characters in the 40k universe that are as iconic as this one. As a matter of fact, it's only now that I'm typing these words that I do realise how Ghazghkull is a big chunk in many ways.
I've been meaning to paint this big fellow for a while now but only got to it now because I had the opportunity and someone had been kind enough to get me the model !

Zodgrod Wortsnagga - Orctober is here !

Well you know what month this is, not only my birth month, it's Orctober ! Now I've taken part in this Orctober challenge for 4 years now and I have to say I'm always looking forward to it !
I'll be honest with you here and admit I never was an orc fan in the first place but painting them has made me love them and now there a sort of happy hobby place I like to get occasion to go back to.
So like every year, I just needed the right excuse and this year it was provided by an absolute gent who sent me this bad boy.

Warhammer underwolds Shadespire - Ironskull's Boyz

Sometimes you do things you never thought you'd do. I never thought I'd paint anything related to Age of Sigmar, and here I am with my 3rd band belonging in it. I never thought I'd get the orruks for Shadespire, but here I am.
I didn't like the way they looked, didn't like the way I could hardly tell them apart, I didn't like the look of them.
But some things just happen, in my case, it was going to meet my dear friend Sho3box and playing Shadespire with him, facing his orruks with my Stormcast.

The PROPAINTING challenge goblin

The other night, a couple of the WIPsters and friends gathered for a little video chat painting session with the silly idea to paint a model in a single session with the most horrible brush of their collection.

Smells like Kev Spirit

Look, I've said it before but I'm not exactly a great orc lover here. I know I've said it a fair few times already but I keep coming back to painting some now that I've started a couple years back for orctober.
Thing is, I still wouldn't want to have a huge force of them in any game nor would I even want to play them that much but for some reason I feel compelled to having a force of them for my games.
Since this year, I've started to make warbands of all sorts for fantasy just like I used to do for Rogue Trader. That means when I saw a sale on the Oldhammer forum with plenty of cool orcs from Kev Adams, I took the opportunity to scratch the itch.

BOYLdrick - The Oldhammer Goblin (and regiments of renown)

So here he is, the Oldhammer Goblin also known as BOYLdrick ! This is actually one of the first goblins I've ever painted (if I don't count the 2nd ed gretchin I painted last year for Orctober). And what better starting point than a model by the Goblin master himself Kevin Adams !
