Hey all, the other time while I was painting my latest Rökthane, I took the opportunity to paint another space dwarf I had lying around and that was a Red Bard medic a friend kindly gave me.
I've seen the last few kickstarters from Red Bard recently but somehow resisted the temptation (so far) so I hadn't had the opportunity to test their models and I got to say this first was a very nice surprise !
It's the perfect scale and style if you're into the old school squats and the codes are all there with the crisp definition you expect from 3D designed models. The model itself is flawless, no print lines, no casting marks or anything, no preparation is an overlooked asset but it's definitely a big plus in my book.
Painting wise, I didn't have to reinvent teh wheel or anything and I just had to follow the scheme I have running in all my squats.
The übergeek in me couldn't help but use the scanner as an opportunity to throw a little reference in :
So that's it for now, if you liked this one, you can find it HERE, I have several big projects in the works, all very exciting and I also have a gaming tournament (my first ever) planned for next weekend so expect some new things soon here !
Happy hobby to you all !
Certainly does have that old vibe and would have fit in perfectly in my long sold Squat force for sure. Tempting to start them again with all these new cool sculpts about.
ReplyDeleteLove the paint job though, definite nod to the 80's originals for sure.
Thanks, the temptation is strong right ?
DeleteEs una figura genial, yo también lo tengo, el pintado de ha quedado muy bien.
ReplyDeleteYup, definitely want to paint more of them !
