Everyone loves a good inquisitor right ? Yeah me too. And what I love even more than that is Jes Goodwin models, I just love 'em. They're my hobby happy place.
NowI've painted a variant of that model before but I was given this guy to paint for a friend so gladly came back to him.
Seeing them side by side, I realise the mistakes and especially the rushed areas (on both actually) but the real fun part is to compare the miniatures themselves and how they differ to try and see what the base might have looked like.
I'm surprisingly enough in a good painting mood so I'll try to ride that wave while it lasts !
Side by side with Gimenez! ^^
ReplyDeleteIndeed ! Inquisitor Jodorowsky didn't make it in the pic unfortunately !
DeleteVery nice! What paint colors did use on their brown clothing? I really like how that turned out for you.
ReplyDeleteIt's a dark chocolate brown I can't read the name of on the pot (game colour) with an earthshade wash and with added skrag brown until I'm happy.
DeleteThanks !
Excellent ces Inquisiteurs. Les deux versions ont beaucoup de caractère !
ReplyDeleteMerci !
DeleteBrilliant stuff man the hits just keep on coming!!
ReplyDeleteLet's hop it stays that way !
DeleteCheers mate !
Great looking models, and now that I've seen them, I'm wondering why I don't have either of these guys in my collection!
ReplyDeleteWell one is pretty tricky to get but the other one is an unforgivable miss !
DeleteAgent Giraud... might this be a nod to Jean Giraud ? Anyway, one more great model. I like the design of the shoulder pad very much :)
ReplyDeleteIt is, the other one is Agent Gimenez and I know Agent Jodorowsky as well. ;)
DeleteI like the sooty richness of the flames poking out the top of his gun. Great to see checks on both versions.
ReplyDeleteCheers, they turned out way better than the energy on the blade (which looked good IRL)...
DeleteSpecial paint effect on a metallic surface – that's a challenge to photograph in a way that looks like it does in real life!
DeleteBoth versions look fine to me :)
ReplyDeleteAnd you gotta ride that wave for as long as you can. I'm off of mine and wallowing in still waters as I lie on my imaginary surfboard waiting for inspiration to hit me.
The OSL looks really week on both tbh but I'm probably just rushing a tad too much.
DeleteI'm quite surprisingly riding a good painting wave this month so I hope the tide gets to you as well !
They look great!
ReplyDeleteSmashing work. Those two figs are superb characters.
ReplyDeleteThey're splendid models as can be expected from Jes Goodwin really !
DeleteSo nice models and great paint work. I really like how both leather coats turned out. May the wave keep under your surfboard😊
ReplyDeleteThe wave is powerful but I'm working on many modesl at once right now ! Thanks a lot, I quite like painting worn out leathers like those !
