Hey everyone, it's been a while since the last update on my Trench Crusade forces but I got my hands on the missing minis a few months back so after clearing a few other projects, I'm delighted to be back to the holy trenches !
After having done the small guys, I had free reins with the bigger ones so following on the anti tank communicants, I'm moving onto the melee ones !
Like usual, I tend to not look at official art much but I got to say I ended up frighteningly cose with this one ! I guess that's a good thing ! I did opt for a sicker skin tone to evoke the unnatural essence of those beings.
Freehanding really isn't my forte so I tried to hide the mediocre portraits with weathering to give the idea more than the exact depiction of saint portraits.
The shrine anchorite is the last model I'll be painting for the trench pilgrims and it's on the deskat this moment, a big reward to complete the band ! Then I'll be able to move onto the next band which will be the heretic legion !
Wow - Trench Crusade isn't really my thing but this guy looks great and fits in with the warband very nicely. I think the icons look really effective - still grubby, but the bits of colour make the model more interesting. Where is the miniature from?
ReplyDeleteThanks, the model is the official one from the main kickstarter that broke all records, I love all the tiny details and stuff added to build the ambiance.
DeleteBoth equally cool and scary!!
ReplyDeleteYeah, not sure why some are lean and some are massive but the disparity does make the unnatural proces look even weirder.
