Machine God by Knucklebones miniatures

Hey everyone ! Quick one today.
After finishing 2 bands, I felt like I needed a palette cleanser and just decided to paint this beauty that was standing on my desk ince god knows when.
It's a machine God by Knucklebones miniatures, you can find it HERE and a mate of mine kindly printed me one to use as ... not really sure what yet but it's definitely the kind of weird creature I want to encounter at the end of a sewer/dungeon crawl, or at least the sort of stuff I ant my players to encounter as a GM.

Middle-Earth Goblin warriors and a lost robot

Just to take a little break from my 54mm projects and as a speed painting test, I've assembled 18 goblin warriors from the Hobbit range to see if I could paint them in a single sitting and hence have feral creatures to use in pretty much any setting I want.

The Silver Bayonet - The French Unit

Hey all ! So you know how the hobby expands over several genres, settings and made up worlds right ? That's its biggest strength for me. It's a way to escape the real world and create one of your own to project how you'd want to change it. So bottom line, I'm not not historical gaming at all, I don't want to be reminded about atrocities that have existed before, the horrors of war and the vileness of human nature.
BUT, it turns out it only takes a couple of vampires, werewolves and ghouls in the mix to make it perfectly OK. That's where Silver Bayonet comes in. Having had a good dose of Stargrave lately, I'm very much into Joe McCullough's games at the moment and when my partners in crime started eying towards it I took the opportunity of a sale on my gaming shop's site to get a unit of french people because any chance I get to justify my poor accent in gaming is good for me.

Giant wyrms and worms !

Now I've been slowly preparing myself for a big Stargrave campaign and amongst all the things I need is a list of critters and monsters to get some fun random encounters. So a little while ago, I made a selection of the sort of creatures I wanted to have crawling in the ground and popping right under my characters' nose !

Crystal Spiders - Katsina miniatures

Hey everyone ! Today, I'm quite chuffed to be able to show you some of Katsina's models to come for their next Kickstarter !
These are crystal spiders and only two of many more ! They were sculpted by the hands of Dorota who already sculpted this magnificent fat frog and I'm eager to get the others !

Paradygm shift : Don't feed the troll !!!

Hi everyone ! A little change this time and an unexpected one on top !
For some reason I found myself needing to paint a troll (to celebrate an event on a FB page full of them) and wondered which I could paint and if I had one at all ?
After a quick search I realized I actually had this gorgeous guy from the first Pantheon of Chaos Kickstarter :

Monster manual special : The Cockatrix !

OK, let me get this straight right away, this is going to be one of those stupid posts, just so you know. You don't have to say anything nice about it, I won't mind (much).

OK now James Holloway from Gonzo History has initiated a little contest to create new monsters like those you can see in the original monster manual.
You know, the kind of monsters when you have more imagination than money or models !

The first step being to find a cheap toy, I found exactly what I needed !

Astral hound

Today's a quick one. A couple of months ago (well more like 4 couples of months ago actually) I got a funnly little sculpt amongst some Judge Dredd Citadel models. The figure looked like some sort of mutated pitbull and I thought at the time it could probably act as a good genestealer infested dog. teh style and scale though didn't do it for me so I thought about how to use it...

Now it did remind me of something I'm sure you'll recognise too : Slimer from Ghostbusters,
