Buzz Lightyear Hyperspeed Series Truck and other toys !

 

So when the Buzzlightyear movie got released (Gork that was in 2022), we got a load of toys coming with it that were a gold mine to pick from and it felt like the best source to find cool vehicles for generic sci-fi settings like Stargrave and such. Like everyone, I got a bunch and let them sit in a corner, painted some but didn't photograph them because they're too big.

So lately, painting a lot of NPC's and terrain, I saw that truck and thought it was stupid not to paint it and take the opportunity to takes photos of all the vehicles I had done !

The Truck itself ws pretty straightforward, I first wanted to change the wheels but finally realised it wasn't worth it so overall, apart from the mesh on the windows, the model is pretty much as I got it and the painting process was really simple, relying on the weathering stage to make it work.

Along with the other toys, I grabbed some space shuttles, those things are not very big but scale wise, they realistically can fit a single 28mm scale model.

For these, I only added and oil wash to pick crevices and added weathering before a solid varnish coat, easy job !

In the same way, I grabbed this much bigger ship that looks like it can hold a few models, a few drybrushes for definition, oil washes and weathering and it's good ! It's actually featured in a few games already !

and while I was at it, I found this X wing (missing the antennas) that was the exact same size as the other 2 shuttles so it got the exact same treatment !

So here you go, sometimes it's easy to add great pieces to a board, they really give a sense of scale and life on boards.
I have so much more to add though !
