Maraud miniatures are back with the Forgotten !

 

So my good mate Alex from Vallet Miniatures studio has launched a new project to follow up on his range for Mauraud miniatures and this time he's back with 2 evocative bands with their very own vibe each in a brand new kickstarter you can check HERE.

Out of the 2 bands, I got the chance to paint an early set of the Forgotten, a mysterious group of forest dwelling creatures.

Now I've gone for something quite different to the source material so I hope Alex will forgive me. 

The leader of the band is Nuhada the dark priestess and I love how regal yet sinister she looks, she's fairly tall for the scale so she will tower over most other models and the scalp and blade she's wearing leave no ambiguity about her resolve.

I love how delicate yet ruthless she looks with her battle scars.

The blind archer is a new take on the blind shooter trope and this one's got a third eye leading his shots

The  Berzerker is an absolute banger of a model, dynamic, beautiful, perfect score really !

The linx boy really ties the whole by having a childish figure in the mix, really gives another sense than having tough armoured fighters all round, I also love the slight early Blanche look on his face with big wide eyes, he's definitely the type of characters you want to meet in RPG's

Now every band so far has had a huge guy and the Hogman is this guy here, I got to say he was a love at first sight and painting it only confirmed my love for him, he was was one of those models who just paint themselves and you just have to let the brush be guided by the perfect features, big mojo booster that one.

Like for the others, I've decided to give them bronze weapons instead of steel ones to give a different and somehow ancient vibe to them.
I really tried to give his muscle good definition while keeping a dry almost ropey feel to his skin

Here are the big ones from the previous bands together with the new contender, they all look like such fun people !
