More Sci-Fi terrain - Boxes and crates

Hey all, so I'm still in my terrain phase, painting a fistful of scatter every other group of miniatures to slowly but surely up my scenery stock. This time is clearly not the most fascinating jaw dropping  batch sinc its all just crates and boxes but I know those really blend builings into their surroundings, fill empty area on a table and they make great visual focus points when your players are seeking treasures.
From an old 40k objectives set, I had those ammo craes with rockets and bombs, easy, no brainer WYSIWYG

Same with those 2 bombs, pretty straighforward, extremely simple to paint, you know what they are.

From the Necromunda core box (2017 version), I had those ammo crates as well, I quite like that they come with removable lids

What I really love about those too is that they're reversible so that leaves me with the option of having empty crates for my unlucky players or even booby trapped ones for those even more unlucky !

The underhive market box had boxes of ammo/tools and general stuff so I gave markings on them in different colours to know which contain what (dunno if I'll ever need to)

From the objective box and the mek workshop kit I had tool boxes, not essential but I usually like to have mechanics and such in my games so that should be handy to have !

Now from the mantic crate set, I still had those crates, they were painted a long time ago with a semi slapchop method that didn't take well because of the hydrophobic nature of the plastic but I really wasn't into repainting those so I decided the worn out look would just mean they're old.

Next ones are fun, I had no idea how to paint those so asked my mates and it was suggested I could go with yellow and blue which seemed like a very good idea, it made me do that for 2 of those and orage and green for the other two. I think it makes tem look like Space Gatorade coolers or someting filled with soda cans and I like it, I'll have a drink merchant in my future games now !

Now the underhive market set has those, I'm not sure what they are but I love them, they were a joy to paint, they can be anything, from a portable power generator to shield generators or cryogenic tanks or whatever.

And in an even less incredible manner, those buckets and a fuel can,

and those energy cells, some full, some empty, it can be decorative or used in game, good stuff to have around and vary

Last minute addition that's not a box or a crate, that tentacle from the 2nd box of Necromunda, quick and easy, most of the work had been done when the box was released but it had just been sitting in the ADHD pile forever until now !

So here we are, thanks for sticking with me until here, I reckon the future terrain batches should have more exciting stuff (although there's a table batch coming lol), I think though those bts of terrain can be a big motivation, they're easy and quick to do, very low stakes results wise and they really elevate tables and pictures so if one picks the right amount of it to do at once, they can become interesting mojo boosters instead of being overwhelming.
Happy painting to you all !
