Zombie slayer or... zombie slayer ?

Alright now, little time ago, Jamie from Oldschool Miniatures kindly sent me an orc  and added this unreleased zombified slayer to paint.
Well dwarves are cool, slayers doubly so and zombies on top ? Say no more, this guy (sort of) quickly moved to the top of the queue.
It's a really cool sculpt from Juan Montano, full of oldschool charm, that paints really well.

I mostly worked with glazes on the skin to give a real rotten flesh appearance (as far as I know from TV series). Gave it a nice pair of trousers that either echo Obelix or my Mercenary band (or both who knows), add the mandatory livid milky white eye and rusted blade and you have a real fine little guy.

I'll be honest with you, I have one major regret with this guy, first thing I did after priming it was to go check the Mordheim rulebook only to realise that undead cannot hire a slayer... not cool... :/

Time Magazine] Une pétition pour que Keanu Reeves soit la ...

He's joining the band and other undead nonetheless anyway :)

Another one in the bank, that feels good, I hope I can keep this pace a little while, plenty of half finished business all over the table that just needs a tiny push to be complete ! Wish me luck !

    1. It's a pretty cool sculpt right ? Great compromise between what you'd expect from both a slayer and a zombie.
      Cheers !

  5. A slayer's natural orange hair definitely lends itself to a cool zombie color scheme seeing that most would've a pale green skin tone. Excellent work regardless of the rules! :)

    1. Cheers, I actually thought about the hair and considered if it might have to be duller or not, I opted to kept the deifnitite trademarks obvious for teh rule of cool !
