Along with the scaly mutant from last post, I got this wonderful little creature full of character. I honestly don't know what its name is but I love it.
Its one of those sculpts you don't think about at first but which is essential to give a bit more depth to a setting or to the characters next to it.
For some reason, the pilgrims and colonists are a theme that appeals to me so I was very glad to be able to grow this little crew.
Here's a shot with the pack moootant from Thunderchild miniatures and a Colony 87 colonist.
Oh and while I was at it, I took a pic with all the Blind Beggar Miniatures I've painted so far.

These guys have really boosted my mojo and helped me get back to some left behind models so I'm pretty pleased with all this. Let's hope I don't fall into the same traps again !
Very cute. The eyes are nicely done.

ReplyDeleteYou have done a cracking job on that Young Noif, most impressive.
To clear up a couple of things, this little fella is a Young Noif from the Outland setting and was one of the offerings from last years KS that set the scene for Outland.
I plan on doing several more, there are already two more variants of the Youngster being sent to the caster this week and I plan on adults later in the year.
You have done such a great job on this fella, I guess you will have to have the others sent your way as well.

DeleteNMCs and such creatures are my weak spot anyway, I find it's easier to give depth to a setting without a gun. ^^
Really like how you've painted the beastie eyes all glassy and dark. Very alien, perfectly so.

Nice job dude, Blind Begger are producing some great stuff at the moment - I really must get round to doing some of mine! Btw, I believe this was intended as a cheeky nod to the bantha... a baby-bantha if you will ;-)

I defintely have this image of distant odd deserts and colonists and missionaries cross the path of strange creatures and settlers. It's a slow burner but it's taking shape and those models are a piece of it.
