Dorf civilians !

Alright folks, hope you're all doing well, here's a bunch of models I've just finished this morning and thought you might want to see. You might remember I painted some of Geoff's Evild dorfs earlier, well, I had the chance to get my hands on some new bits from Oakbound.
Those new models are actually a whole range of bits for you to assemble and make the dorfs of your choice !

I actually bits to do 6 models (with still some spares) but the last 2 are going to be part of a slightly bigger project so I'v postponed them and concentrated on those I intend as civilians/NPCs.

Here's the first of them, Erik Grumpsen, former guard and now sheriff/lawkeeper. I've decided to give him the bionic arm since he already had the bionic leg to go with it. I imagine he had to retire from service after dancing on a landmine and has kept himself busy with lawkeeping... That's the reason why I've given him the military helmet and a revolver.

The second one of the civilians is a sort of accountant/banker, the kind of annoying character that will perfect to kidnap/kill/blackmail... The sculpt has a certain western vibe to it so I didn't try to go against the flow and followed it. The more modern shoes offer a good contrast without being to harsh. The model embodies perfectly what it's supposed to be so I'm glad to have this string on my arrow.

Amongst the arms that I had, one was looking like begging or holding something. As  found one of the heads looking like it's hidden behind a mask, I thought it'd be perfect to have a squat thief/robber which would also fit perfectly with the western vibe the other 2 models had.
I cannot wait to have him trying to rob travelers and caravans in the ash waste deserts !

Just because I felt like it, I added a boar head in the back to echo the old RT imagery where squats often sported such devices (some sculpts have them too) :

Last one it the most essential one for me, a squat drunken punk ! I mean the idea is so RT (in my mind) that I had to do it, an arm giving the middle finger, the other holding a can, a punk crest on a squat head (with bionics engraved with an anarchy symbol), what more can you ask ?
I have to admit the tartan is not exactly my best (a bit too early for a saturday morning maybe) but I like the vibe of him a lot.

Yeah, I was lame enough to write "Beer" on the beer can

So that's it for now, while I was at it, I also worked on some old friends and have some more mysterious models on the go but that's for another episode ;)

  7. Awesome freehand boar and your color usage continues to wow me. :) Although ... watching a stout bearded guy in kilts continues to unnerve me ;)

I have to be perfectly honest and amdit the boar is nothing more than a repurposed decal !
