There's a feeling inside... - Martial artists in the 40k universe.

You know what ? Lately I've felt the urge to have models of Martial artists for my 40k games... Why is that ? Well that's one long and sordid story really... I'll tell more about it on the Scale Creep though as it involves some of my WIPster colleagues...
For the time being, I'm just showing these 2 which are 2 simple kitbashes from Catachan parts (for the fighter in red pants and from Imperial guard/Astra Militarus, bretonnian and Admech parts and green stuff for his boxing teacher.

The guy in red (let's call him Jimmie for now) is heavily influenced by Jean-Claude Vandamme and I tried to use bits that fit with the least changes possible (only turned the hand on the right arm and removed the gun).
The cyber Hobo-monk teacher implies a bit more green stuffing but not much more really. Both paintjobs were super quick ones because a) I didn't have much time to spend on them (3 hours tops for the pair) and b) they're plastic models with bits that are just a pain to paint really (looking at you catachan arms). I hope you can notice I painted Jimmie's skin in a paler tone than my usual caucasian skin tone but I needed to emphasise his origins...
I've painted Jimmie's shirt with his name and dojo symbol as befits martial artists.

These 2 are meant for a greater purpose but their journey is not done yet, you'll hear about those in very little time...

I have more plastic kitbashes in the pipes but those should be of higher quality than these guys above.
More about that ... when I get painting time !!!!!!!

  2. I hope that Jimmy finds out what happened to his father.

That's what usually drives a fella like that to find a Sensei in my experience.

    1. Indeed, we're talking about fists dipped in glue and broken glass shards level of father-son issues here.

  3. Aw man, I dig Jimmy - he reminds me so much of the dick sensei of the Cobra Kai in Karate Kid! That guy was a grade 1 penis, and (rightly or wrongly) Jimmy gives me the same vibe :-) You know it's a good mini when you get an emotional response!
